Point to You - We are Messengers
Songsheet
Songsheet
- God wants a relationship with us, he doesn't care how broken, scarred, damaged, or lost we are.
- His intent is to have us rely on him, build a relationship with him.
- When we are asked by others how we have accomplished so much, or survived so many struggles our response should simply be "Point to God". Even in our times of joy and happiness as well as our struggles and storms.
- Relying on God to show us the way, show us how to get through our life, show us how to embody him demonstrates our willingness to reciprocate the relationship God wants.
Psalm 34:17-19
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Brother (feat. Gavin DeGraw) (Official Video) by NeedToBreathe & Gavin DeGraw on VEVO.
Songsheet
- To be the hands and feet of Christ our task is not a simple one, it is going to be painful, uncomfortable, and put us in challenging positions.
- Our service to others, when they are going through struggles and challenges, is one of greatest ways of demonstrating the selfless commitment to Christ
- How do you plan to "fix" a broken relationship you may have with someone at this moment in your life?
Philippians 2:1-7
"So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,"
- What type of relationship do you want to have with God?
- What type of relationship do you presently have with God?
- How can we improve upon the relationship we presently have with God?
Romans 10:8-10
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
1 Peter 1: 3-5
1 Peter 1: 3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to
be revealed in the last time.
